What is Data Benchmarking?
Data benchmarking is the process in SEO in which I gather data to determine the current traffic present on the website. This process also gives me an overview of the medium through which the website gets visitors, from least to most. In addition to the website’s traffic, keywords can also be determined, like the number of clicks and position depending on the timeframe set. Moreover, this determines the health and status of your website.
I use 2 SEO tools to do this process: Google Search Console for the website’s status and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for traffic monitoring. Below are sample reports that can be seen by using these tools:
